THE PROCESS
Led by award winning Newfoundland playwright Paul David Power, "What's Your Story?" is an interactive artistic journey. Participants will engage with the group and one on one with Paul through 2 digital communications/video conferencing sessions to begin exploring their topic, ideas, goals and initial outline.
These digital sessions will be followed by a full day in-person workshop with Paul and other class participants. The day will include readings, constructive feedback and time to write. The workshop sessions will conclude with a public reading of a first draft page by the writers to invited guests, stakeholders family and friends along with a presentation by Paul on accessible theatre in our communities. These workshop sessions are free and open to anyone with aspirations to learn more about sharing their own story or life journey through play writing. All levels of experience are welcome. We are limiting each regional session to 6-8 participants ages 16+. To secure your place in the workshops please apply today.

About Paul David Power
![]() Paul David Power is an award winning Newfoundland playwright. His current touring production, Crippled, has been heralded by critics and audiences for its honesty, strength and ground breaking story. For Crippled Paul traveled a multi-year creative journey to ultimately share his story about growing up with a physical disability, living as a gay man and his personal grief journey after the sudden loss of his same sex partner. The end result was a hit play, but more importantly, a great example of the healing power of artistic expression. To learn more about Crippled and Paul click here |
