Established in 2018, Power Productions Inc. is a theatre company in St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, aiming to increase awareness, appreciation, accessibility and inclusion in theatre for people living with disabilities in Atlantic Canada and beyond. This is accomplished by:
Creating diverse and accessible theatre projects, professional development opportunities and community collaborations with a focus on the disability, Deaf and MAD arts sectors.
Company Manager – St. John’s, NL
We are currently seeking a Company Manager who will report to the Artistic Director while working closely with the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include managing Power Productions’ business activities, including financial and human resources while supporting the Artistic Director in planning and executing artistic, educational and outreach activities throughout the season. The position also functions as the producer for all productions and presentations of Power Productions.

Power Production Inc. offers a competitive salary of $22.00 per hour ($40,040 per year), and four weeks of vacation, which are to align with the company schedule. This is a full-time (35 hours per week), one-year contract with the opportunity to renew.

Company Manager – St. John’s, NL
We are currently seeking a Company Manager who will report to the Artistic Director while working closely with the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include managing Power Productions’ business activities, including financial and human resources while supporting the Artistic Director in planning and executing artistic, educational and outreach activities throughout the season. Responsibilities:
- Managing financial and human resources
- Preparing grant applications and all required government correspondence
- Acting as a representative for the company within the community, including attendance at conferences, community events, and performances
- Working closely with the Treasurer to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Working with the Artistic Director in planning and implementin artistic activities including productions, workshops, auditions and community events
- Responsible for managing production and presentation budgets
- General office management
- Board relations and engagement, and participation in all Committees of the Board
- And other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of arts management experience in the non-profit arts sector
- An understanding of – and a passion for – the vision and mandate of Power Productions and its role in the live performance community
- Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors, committees, community groups, and government officials
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspac
- A “can do” attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond when necessary
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Simply Accounting or Quickbooks
- Attention to detail and an ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining an eye on the larger picture
- Ability to learn quickly, think on your feet, and adapt easily to new environments;
