Last Chance

Picture

Background

Last Chance was Paul's second full-length play. Produced in 2002 by MUN Drama, the show played at the historic LSPU Hall in St. John's NL.

Another critical and audience success this comedy-drama tells the story of Josh and Laura, two high school sweethearts who five years later after a mysterious break up find themselves revisiting the past and questioning their futures.

Set during one stormy night, Josh and Laura find themselves trapped at Josh's family-run diner along with Josh's father, Joe, Laura's fiance, Dr. Gregory Mitchell and wise-cracking waitress Rhonda. Laura's wedding to Dr. Mitchell is scheduled to take place the following day. However, this detail has little bearing on Joe, who is determined to reunite Josh and Laura before it is too late despite not knowing the real reason the couple broke up five years ago.

A mysterious stranger with connections to Josh shows up at the diner in the middle of the storm threatening to reveal a long-held secret by Josh.
