Power Productions is led by a Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for ensuring Power Productions Activities coincide with the Mission and Goals of the organization as well as overseeing the hiring of organizational roles and artists both long-term and by artistic project. The Board also supports the general work and artistic vision of the Artistic Director, the only full time employee of the organization.
Power Productions’ Board is comprised of no less than 4 volunteer members at one time and a maximum of 6 volunteer members. Currently, these members all must reside in Newfoundland and Labrador and the organization makes every effort to ensure at least 50 per cent of board members self identify as living with a disability, Deaf, or living with mental health challenges.
The Board meets regularly once a month and is joined by the Artistic Director (non-voting) for regular reporting and updates on projects and future artistic endeavours.

Catherine Dempsey (Chair - Treasurer)
Catherine Dempsey is originally from British Columbia but has been in Newfoundland and peripherally involved in the arts scene in the province since 1982. An avid theatre goer, Catherine has enjoyed the creativity and originality of the many productions created here, and appreciates the wide variety offered for our enjoyment. Catherine was Executive Director of the not for profit HIstoric Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador for over 20 years, working with crafts people and the history of the province. History, culture and the arts all combine to make Newfoundland the very best place to live, and she is proud to volunteer with Power Productions to make all of this more accessible.

Jacqueline Raymond Ottenheimer (Secretary)
Jacqueline Raymond Ottenheimer is a proud NLer with a long history of working with youth and in local theatre, having been trained at MUN in English Litetature with a Specialization in Theatre. She works during the school year with children with disabilities, exceptionalities, and pervasive needs with NLESD. Jacqueline has also worked with many local theatre companies as a Production Coordinator, Stage Manager, Props Manager, ASM, Director, and Actor (but never all at once). She loves working to create theatrical opportunities for individuals who would otherwise encounter barriers to accessing theatre and the arts. Jacqueline strongly believes that access to and exploration of the arts in a safe and supportive space is an integral part of a young person's education and healthy development. She is very proud of the work that this company is doing and really hopes that you will also get to experience some of the incredible work produced by Power Productions!

Josh Menchions (Board Director - Accessibility Director)
Josh Menchions is the founder of Accessible NL. A social enterprise based company focused on modernizing the accessibility of St. John's and the province of NL. With Accessible NL and a little bit of stand up comedy on the side, Josh spreads awareness of the troubles of being disabled in St. John's and works with the community to make a positive change.

Amanda Halliday (Board Director)
Amanda Halliday has spent many years on stage, taking her first role in community theatre at the tender age of 9, learning and studying stagecraft for 30 years. Amanda is the Coordinator of Community Giving with the CNIB Newfoundland and Labrador, working to remove barriers to inclusion for people with sight loss. In addition, she is a mental health warrior – spreading awareness through sharing her journey with anxiety and depression. Most recently, she completed audio descriptive training through Vocal Eye and is looking forward to helping individuals with sight loss to truly immerse themselves in the theatre experience. She hopes that her time on the Power Productions Board will help to create change throughout the province – creating communities that are built on acceptance, inclusion, and accessibility.

He currently works with the government of Newfoundland and Labrador as a Computer Programmer Analyst. He is on the board of the NL Coalition of Persons with Disabilities (COD), the Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA), and the St. Johns athlete of the year selection committee. He strongly believes that persons with Disabilities can accomplish anything they wish to do and will try to include himself in whatever takes his fancy.

Becky Gold is an accessible drama instructor, artist support worker, and PhD candidate based in Toronto, ON. Her research and community-engaged work focuses on working interdependently with disabled artists to enable self-advocacy and community activism through the performing arts. Connected to Newfoundland through familial ties, Becky is thrilled to
support the important work Power Productions is doing to enhance access to the arts for Atlantic Canada's disability community.
